Caleta
de Fuste, also known as Costa Caleta or Castillo, is located only
10kms from Fuerteventura airport. Caleta is one of the busiest resorts
on the island and is ideal for couples and families with children.
In the resort there are plenty of excellent restaurants and bars catering for all tastes - from the quiet, relaxing watering holes to where the noisy karaoke creatures hang out! |

Caleta has many shops worth strolling around including the recently built Atlantico shopping centre where you'll find a mixed array of outlets and a large supermarket. It also has a multi screen cinema and 10 lane bowling alley. Visit the street market on a Saturday morning to find that haggled for, holiday bargain! On the outskirts of town are 2 fantastic 18 hole golf courses - Fuerteventura Golf Resort and Las Salinas Golf Club. Fuerteventura Golf Resort hosted the 2004 Spanish Open and was the first 18 hole course on the island.. After using all that energy take a quick walk to the beach and enjoy that well earned dip in the Atlantic. Caleta has a large horseshoe shaped beach that is perfectly safe for the younger members of your family. The beach gently slopes into the cool Atlantic Ocean for when the sun gets a little hot! The larger waves are broken by the harbour wall which makes the bay very calm and inviting. There are plenty of sun loungers available and a wide variety of water sports including scuba diving, jet skiing and windsurfing. Boat, catamaran and fishing trips are also available from the harbour. If you take a walk South from the main beach to the Atlantico shopping centre you'll come across a gorgeous section of beach in the form of lagoon style bays.
